Google Chrome Download and Screenshots
Tuesday, 02 September 2008
Later today Google will enter the browser marketplace and you will be able to download what looks like a ground breaking new web browser called 'Google Chrome'. It appears to have some very nice features and if Chromes multiple process architecture can beat the way Firefox hangs on some web pages, and it doesn't suffer from the flood of memory leaks that Firefox does then I'm all for it.
Download Google Chrome later today: gears.google.com/chrome/ http://www.google.com/chrome
(gears download page is not working)
Learn more about Google Chrome by reading the: Google Chrome comic book
(it's quite long)
What will Google Chrome look like? Check out Philipp Lenssens screen grabs from the gears website
I donwloaded it this morning from http://www.memac.com, i'm not sure if it still there, gchrome is amazing!!

I saw that there is a download available at that memac site, but honestly, I wouldn't trust some thing like that. It could be a virus, or a counterfit, or a version that's been tampered with.
I'll just wait for the official release and get it directly from google Thanks.

Ok. There is a Javascript error in the download page. Here is the correct URL for the ChromeSetup.exe. Cut and paste into your browser location bar. Enjoy :-)

Hey this is hilarious, I just used Chrome from the download URL I posted above http://www.google.com/chrome to debug the gears.google.com/chrome download page:

Nice feature. I like Chrome so far but there is a bug with the back button closing the window when there are no more previous pages, it also shut when I re-entered a previously visited URL.

Just as a warning Google Chrome will currently not work with Symantec Endpoint Protection installed..unless you remove the application protection piece.

Anyone tried logging into Microsoft Adcentre with Chrome... I'm sure that its completely by accident that Adcentre wasn't one of the 'millions of websites' Google tested it with. You cant actually get past the login page, hehe!

You cynical...
To be fair Adcenter wasn't FF compatible to start with either. :)
