Google Adwords Qualified Professional verification pages disappear.
Thursday, 25 January 2007
As of Tuesday Adwords Qualified Professional status verification links for individuals and companies lead to a login page, meaning potential advertisers must create an Adwords account themselves before they can verify an individual or agency they are considering working with.
These links are what individuals and agencies are encouraged to display on their websites in order to prove they have passed the exams and have a deep understanding of Googles Adwords system. Neutralize (*\*) for instance is an Adwords Qualified Company so we get this logo to display and a link for you to verify our status, but right now you can't :-(.
You can take two views on this:
Positive: It’s a technical glitch and they'll fix it shortly
(I've already notified Nial in Dublin)
Cynical: It’s a devious ploy in order to channel advertisers direct to Google Adwords and away from agencies.
Pick one.
WhoisaGAP.com is currently the only website with extensively up to date Google Adwords Qualified Professional verification levels in case you need to verify anyone.
I noticed this earlier in the week too, it seems to be working again now though.

It changed Tuesday morning. Are you already logged in to an Adwords account (active Adwords session or cookie) by any chance?
Still looks like it requires authentication from here.

I've just checked again (both logged in and out of AdWords) and it forwarded to the login page both times.

And now it's working again! Just clicked on your logo and got the "Neutralize (*\*) - PPC Management Specialists" verification page.

Perhaps they can't make up their minds whether they want to work with agencies our not :-)
