UK online ad spend growth continues...
According to information released today by the IAB and Pricewaterhousecoopers today, online advertising spend in the UK rose by over 62% in the first half of 2005, compared to the same period last year to £490 million . This means that online has made a quantum leap to overtake outdoor advertising for the first time (and a year ahead of when the IAB originally predicted this would happen).
Interestingly, the 62% growth in the UK compares with an increase for the same period of "just" 26% in the US - looks like the UK is the place to be for anyone involved in the online advertising industry....
Now, who's taking bets on when online overtakes TV....?
