Just came across this from Google, I havent downloaded it yet, but it looks very interesting.
http://earth.google.com/index.html
Want to know more about a specific location? Dive right in - Google Earth combines satellite imagery, maps and the power of Google Search to put the world’s geographic information at your fingertips
Optional updates include adding GPS device support. Prices range from $20 - $400 for the full service.
I've just downloaded it and had a play - it is an absolutely awesome program. When they start adding more data and better resolution to the UK it will be a brilliant tool.

I have tried this out. Man it is great! It is fun for kids to learn about the world. You can even add GPS to it if you want. IF nothing else download it for the kids. Show them different areas of the world.

I've got a lot of the employees in the office hooked.
Seeing my house up to the rooftop is incredible.
My daughter asked me about London, this was the best Geography lesson I could give her.
Must have download. And Free!? Come on!

This program is one of the best ones than it has left in the ultimos years. He is brilliant. It is of much utility, or, for information, or entertainment.
